Three established All Blacks are being linked with moves to Europe.
The New Zealand Herald are fearful that three multi capped All Blacks are on the verge of joining clubs in Europe.
The players in question are World Cup winners Israel Dagg, Cory Jane and Victor Vito. Although Dagg and Jane have fallen out of favour, Vito remains an important component of New Zealand’s squad, having picked up his second World Cup winners medal in October.
Indeed at 28 years of age, Vito has every chance of being part of the All Blacks 2019 campaign. However, having attracted the interest of Stade Francais, Ulster and La Rochelle, Vito may decide to go to Europe rather than try and fight competition from the likes of Akira Ioane, Ardie Savea, Elliot Dixon, Steven Luatua and Brad Shields.
With the emergence of Nehe Milner-Skudder, Dagg is in a similar position to Vito. The 48 times capped All Black must also get by Ben Smith, Julian Savea and Waisake Naholo to break into Steve Hansen’s plans.
Nevertheless, after being part of New Zealand’s Rugby Championship squad, Dagg is far from a fallen star and as a result will command a competitive salary in Europe.
Despite recently signing a three year contract, Jane is behind Dagg in the pecking order and could therefore be granted early release if a lucrative offer came in for the winger.
